ಬರ್ಮಿಂಗ್‌ಹ್ಯಾಮ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಾಮನ್‌ವೆಲ್ತ್ ಗೇಮ್ಸ್‌ನ ಹಾಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಗೆಲ್ಲಬೇಕು ಮಹತ್ವಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಭಾರತದ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ತೀವ್ರ ನಿರಾಸೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಕಿ ಸೆಮಿಫೈನಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡದ ವನಿತೆಯರು ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಮೋಸದಾಟದಿಂದ ಸೋಲುಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೆಮಿಫೈನಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೋಸದಿಂದ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಗಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಪದಕ ತಪ್ಪಿದೆ ಅನ್ನೋ ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು, ವಿಶ್ಲೇಕರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಡೆದ ಸೆಮಿಫೈನಲ್ನ ಮೊದಲ ಮೂರು ಕ್ವಾರ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 1-0 ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡವು ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಕ್ವಾರ್ಟರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪುಟಿದೇದಿತ್ತು. ವಂದನಾ ಕಟಾರಿಯಾ 49ನೇ ನಿಮಿಷದಲ್ಲಿ 1-1 ಗೋಲು ಗಳಿಂದ ಟೈ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ಕೋರ್ 1-1 ಟೈ ಆದ ಬಳಿಕ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ‘ಪೆನಾಲ್ಟಿ ಶೂಟೌಟ್’ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಪೆನಾಲ್ಟಿ ಶೂಟೌಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ ‘ಫೌಲ್’ ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ಗೋಲ್‌ಕೀಪರ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಯಕಿ ಸವಿತಾ ಪೂನಿಯಾ ಮೊದಲ ಶೂಟ್ ಸೇವ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆಸಿಸ್ ಆಟಗಾರ್ತಿಯರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದ ವೇಳೆ ಗಡಿಯಾರದ ಟೈಮರ್ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನ ಪೌಲ್ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಅವಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾದ ಆಟಗಾರ್ತಿಯರು ಗೋಲು ಗಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದರು.
ಇದರಿಂದ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ ಪೆನಾಲ್ಟಿ ಶೂಟೌಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ 3-0 ಅಂತರದಿಂದ ಸೋಲನ್ನ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿತು. ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಡಿಯಾರದ ಟೈಮರ್ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸದಿರೋದು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಾಕಿ ಫೆಡರೇಷನ್ (ಎಫ್‌ಐಹೆಚ್) ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಂಪೈರ್ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನ ಕಾಮೆಂಟೇಟರ್ಸ್ ಟೀಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಮಾಡಿದ ತಪ್ಪೇನು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಪ್ಪು ನಿರ್ಣಯದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ನೈತಿಕ ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯ ಮುರಿದು ಬಿದ್ದು ಸೋಲನ್ನ ಕಂಡಿದೆ. ಭಾರತ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಹಾಕಿ ತಂಡದ ಮಾಜಿ ಕೋಚ್ ಜೋರ್ಡ್ ಮರಿಜ್ನೆ, ಕೂಡ ಟೀಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದನ್ನ ನನಗೆ ನಂಬಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಟೀಂ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನ್ಯೂಜಿಲೆಂಡ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಆಡಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಆಸೀಸ್ ಪರ ಒಲವು ತೋರಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಆಸೀಸ್ ಗೆದ್ದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನೆಟ್ಟಿಗರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸದಾಟದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮೀಮ್‌ಗಳು ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿವೆ.
